Coffee Hot Spots!

A list of notable coffee shops to pass your time, updated throughout the month!

Trader’s Coffee House – Deep Creek Lake, MD

Looks like a great place to get warm after a long day in the snow!

On a recent weekend getaway, Emily Fondersmith shot me this picture of a great coffee shop near Deep Creek Lake. I’m hoping to get here sooner than later – the website boasts of amazing sandwiches, pastries, and – my personal favorite – biscotti’s :-)

Big Bear Cafe – Washington, DC

Mmmm...that just makes me want a Sunday filled with coffee shop lounging to last forever.

By request of my good friend Kate Denlinger, Big Bear Cafe was one of her coffee hang outs during her 3 month stay in the nation’s capital. I’m sure she spent many cold and snowy days hanging out on this great couch!

Bean Hollow – Old Ellicott City, MD

The name says it all: cozy little coffee shop with really down to earth people. My favorite part – the handmade ceramic mugs from Greenbridge Pottery.

Prince Street Cafe – Lancaster City, PA.

This place has character. Love the name. Love the atmosphere. Love Lancaster. Why not hop over to the Lancaster City Central Market while you’re in town?

Starbucks – Mt. Washington, Baltimore, MD

Yes, we all know and love the ‘Bucks, but this one is housed in an old mill building – full of character!

The Lost Souls cafe in downtown Los Angeles, CA is the perfect spot to read a book or catch up on some homework… There is a wide variety of drink options as well as live bands and music on weekend nights!! Don’t miss this hole in the wall place to grab a delicious coffee!

A great spot is Coffee Coffee in the festival at Bel Air. I also am a big fan of Java Joe’s on Baltimore street near St. Paul’s. One more for the list – Baltimore Tea & Coffee in Timonium.
